Living Spring Harrisburg (LSH) started as a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God* on November 2, 2003 at the Comfort Inn on Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg. Under the pastorate of Pastor Funmi Obilana, the RCCG Living Spring Miracle Center, Philadelphia conceptualized the idea of establishing a Redeemed Church in Harrisburg. In attendance on that first night were eight people from Harrisburg and fifteen from Philadelphia. Pastor Tunde Oyelowo was called to the pastorate of the new church. The group continued to meet as a Sunday evening fellowship until the end of the year,
On January 4, 2004, the church moved to Four Points Sheraton on East Park Drive and had her first Sunday morning worship. At the end of August the church leased a space at 1001B North Mountain Road, Linglestown Plaza, Harrisburg, PA 17112 and had her first worship there on September 5, 2005. Brookfield Bible Church assisted the new church with sixty metal chairs and a lectern, as well as Communion trays and plates.
Since January 2004, our services consisted of worshippers from Harrisburg, Lebanon, Lancaster, Elizabethtown, Middletown, Mt. Joy, and Mechanicsburg. We experienced growth in many areas of ministry. We thank the Lord for our growth, not only numerically, but also spiritually. Members have experienced spiritual maturity, regeneration, and breakthroughs through the various ministrations offered.
In obedience to the Great Commission, LSH supports both local and overseas missions. Six additional local parishes have also been started – York in 2008, Lancaster in 2012, Haitian Assembly 2017, French (service de l‘eglise) 2017, Carlisle 2019, Spanish (Fuente de Vida) 2019. The church is blessed with members from many nations of the world.
